Aluminum Fabrication
Rex Industries fabrication services are built for the highest flexibility, so we can tackle your particular requirement and manufacture a project to fit any application. Our expertise includes manufacturing and fabrication in a variety of types of material, including aluminum.
Manufacturing in Aluminum
Aluminum has a number of characteristics that make it highly useful in a range of applications. Since it doesn’t rust, it is frequently used in offshore applications. In addition, it has a high strength-to-weight ratio: on average, products manufactured from aluminum are up to 60% lighter than a comparable product manufactured from steel or stainless steel. It’s also fairly inexpensive and easy to maintain.
However, aluminum doesn’t have the same level of strength as steel, so as a result it isn’t necessarily the best choice for some heavy-duty applications. In addition, aluminum expands twice as much as steel at higher temperatures. These may be factors in deciding whether aluminum is the right choice for your particular application. If aluminum isn’t a good choice, we also provide custom sheet metal fabrication services in mild carbon steel, stainless steel and galvanized steel.
Rex Industries has decades of experience in custom fabrication using aluminum. We bring a complete range of capabilities in aluminum fabrication.
